VALENTINE COMES TO VISIT

This is a video of our visiting bear. One of a few that likes to visit in May, prior to camp starting. He wakes up hungry and fills up with our bird seed. After every other day of visiting other things like berries start coming out and he has no interest in the bird seed. We don't usually see him again until next spring. We nicknamed him "Valentine", he looks to have a big heart on his snout, I'll post a couple of pictures of him also. He was right outside our picture window, he also tried to join our memorial day picnic, I think he smelled the fish. We love living in Connecticut, we enjoy so much beauty.

JUST LEARNING

I am still learning how to put text in with the pictures, this will be a work in process, as Pres. Deiter Uchtdorf says: create something that didn't exist before. This blog and this camp are an attempt to follow that counsel. The boys love the tipi, the double fire pit is a great climbing rock wall, great to bounce balls down, the big swing to the right of the tipi, is made for adults also.

The sand box is in the grove of trees, the trampoline is buried in front of the swing set. In future posts we will show you all the activities being used!!!!!!! Doesn't it make you want to come and play......we love company!!

Welcome to camp geedapapa

We would like to take you on a tour and introduce you to camp geedapapa: where love means fun......it is a special camp just for our grandchildren, a place to get to know each other, to have fun together, to learn together and to love each other and the outdoors. As our grandsons, yes seven of them, live in other states, we decided to bring them home to us, to the home their mothers grew up in, for a few weeks every summer.

As you drive in the driveway you will see our

camp logo. It is a visual the boys can see up and down the road, their response every time we come up the road. Theres the sign we are almost at camp!!!! It is a sign to everyone that this place means fun......
